Male painted turtles and males in related species, have long front nails, to court the females with. They are interesting to watch displaying under water. It reminds me of a fan dance, with some caressing. It's a good sign that water temperatures are going up and that fishing should start getting good. Keith

But a friend of mine saw and photographed a rattler out about 2 weeks ago, in fact there were several adults and and some students on a school class on a field trip......jk Free people are not equal.
