Had a couple cold nights so decided to frostscrape and board another wolf pelt. Just finished turning it on the board.
Got 1 more after this one to do.

You are living a life only some of us dream of. It looks like a lot of variety of critters in your neck of the woods.

Good eye Sharon, there is a fox,and lynx and fisher, and some muskrats and an otter.
Once I am done putting up some more fur from the freezer,I will use those tanned pelts to start working on hats and mitts, that I have orders for.
I also need to tan some weasels myself in the next couple weeks since I am sold out and people have been calling for some.
But I am still doing a bit of trapping and I love getting out in the bush so the fur work takes a back burner to the catching and stretching for now.
Also gotta get the stretching done before the next fur pick up for the auction.
No shortage of things to do here.
Went to a pool party today at the event center, for the great grandchildren, was a nice get together.4 of the great grandchildren have birthdays close together so it was a good get together, with little screaming kids having great fun.

Sounds like fun times with the kiddos..

Every one of them would love a fox or fisher hat !

I have a gorgeous silver fox I got at an NTA . He is nearly as long as I am tall. Among my favorites in my fur wall.

I can imagine what you have planned for the lynx. They all would make wonderful hats , or enough of them for a short coat.

Most of them got beaver fur hats Sharon and they love wearing them when they play outside.
Those ranch fox are huge,I got a few silver fox tails in trade a couple years back. They can be used as hood trim if the leather is strong enough.
I thought about a lynx blanket, I have enough leftover scraps to sew up a plate blanket from all the pieces of lynx fur.

Beaver hats are so warm. I have one and wear it on the coldest days.

Lynx binkie sounds lovely. If you make one , please share a photo of it for us to enjoy.

Fur. Nothing like the real thing.

That's a big North Eastern coyote, look at the orange ears and tip of the tail. But still nice handling.

Foot looks a tad big for a coyote.

I seen the forecast N of 50, I am taking out a nice yellow blond Timber wolf to frostscrape and put up on friday. The last of the good ones left to do.
Unfortunately the cold weather is only forecast for a couple days, then back to the mild.
Have to take advantage of it when I can.
Will also be able to put up the last dozen beaver left from last spring.
