Sitting in a tree stand is pretty much relaxation, be it Saturday or Sunday.

The Sunday hunting bans had/have nothing to do with game conservation

Exactly right. Season durations and bag limits are how game conservation is managed, not via blue laws.

I don't think that blue laws are the right answer to your problem if you or other members of society can't figure out when you need a break. Blue laws in the past included all stores being closed on Sundays because people had to work for those stores to be open. I remember those times and would hate to go back to that.

In Michigan, Huron County during the 70's when I was a teenager we could only hunt Waterfowl on Lake Huron on Sundays. So I trapped and duck hunted on Sundays.

I for one would love it. One day a week of no rat race with everyone doing their best to respect that.

I remember the blue laws , families used to go to church and spend the rest of the day together, having a large meal and spending time with each other.
Michigan used to have some counties that allowed Sunday hunting and others not.
Ohio had no Sunday hunting while I was growing up.
I don't remember when , but do remember being very happy to hunt on Sundays.
I guess about the same time just certain stores were open on Sundays , mostly Lawson's !
