MB 550 OS Since you are mainly settin for coyotes. MB 450 if you are targeting red fox mainly. The 550s will hold any coyote and treat a fox well and the 450s are great for fox and hold the coyotes.

550 is a coyote trap that doesn't beat up fox

450 is a fox trap that will hold a coyote

Choose according to your primary target

550s usually don't damage fox if they are two coiled, your chain has at least three swivels, and there is nothing they can get the trap hung or tangled on. Damage with 450s will be even less frequent provided that they are also properly swiveled etc. Because it's a smaller lighter trap. Both will hold coyote just fine, you just have a smaller spot for the coyote to step in with the the 450. Run a couple of both for a season and decide which you like best.

I use 450 regular jaw. Not their fox 450. I have no problem holding yotes.

Ain’t had an issue with either on fox, coyotes, or bobcats. Both hold and no damage on the feet.
