I actually got stopped on my ebike about 8 years ago by a game warden. No lights, he just slowed beside me and asked me to stop. We call them conservation officers here, but I was riding home in the dark with my full saddle gear and a longbow. He asked me if I had been hunting, I said yes. He asked to see my license, then wanted to talk archery and the local buck population. Which happened to be one of my favorite topics. He had grown up in that area and it was a good chat. He also hunted his parents place nearby. He ended up sending a significant amount of beaver work my way in his short year or two stationed in this district. Seems like the DNR does not like CO’s patrolling their hometown, and they get moved to a different district if they end up on home turf. Ive seen it a few times, so that does not make it a thing, but I have to wonder. Kind of makes sense, the officer would not have to deal with citing high school buddies.
Also change out the seat. Don’t know how old you are but that one will make mashed potatoes out of your tator tots on rough ground. I put a wide one on mine Worth every penny of the 29 bucks

Milk crate works good. Gun rack is wasted money if you have a sling on your rifle. Plus the jarring it takes if you ride it far But I carry my rifle bandelaro style then if you see a deer you just stop lay bike over boom. On crop tag farm 80% of the doe tags I’ve filled come on that bike riding it along the river bottom

Remember the life of the battery is charging it after every use. No matter how short the ride. Don’t leave it plugged in. Check it and when light is green unplugged it. You will love it. Great tool for checking cameras in hot summer also

There will come a day when I won't be able to lift my leg up high enough to throw over a man bike, so I planned ahead.
That day has already arrived for me many years ago. I was just picking on you.
Fact is I would be buying that girly model myself if I had the extra american greenbacks laying around but I have to save enough money for my GERITOL !!!

I bought the girl model also! I had already tried riding an old fashioned nut buster bike with all my tree swinging gear, so I knew that was not going to work out. Another big reason was that in those days I was keeping my scent as low as possible and the e-bike allowed me to get very close without breaking a sweat. I was taking scent control to extreme in those days, even wearing a “burner” tshirt that I ziplocked and changed once in the tree. Swishing my mouth with peroxide every hour or so. It absolutely worked, but it was work. Then a few years ago my drive to chase the big bucks just about disappeared. Now I hunt stinky again and if they walk downwind its over. Full circle. Back to taking does for the freezer. Bucks are the result of luck.

I ain't backtracked yet. I purely love hunting a known mature whitetail buck...especially with my bow.

Yes it cuts down on scent. But on a 15 degree morning when you plan on sitting all day you don’t have to carry your clothes to the tree. That’s a big reason guys get froze out of the tree. Get soaked with sweat walking in. Only way to prevent is carry some clothes or ride a bike , Yes I got the boys version

Yes E-bike are a game changer in hunting for sure I bought mine 2 years ago and did a few mod's to it too. You should look at these gun racks that I installed, best racks I've seen. Also you might want to find a Hawk game cart to pull behind your bike. Saddlebags are almost a must for a spare chain, tools, rain jacket, snacks/drinks, first-aid kit, cable & lock. Looks like you have a really nice start on modifying your bike already. A guy can cover miles in no time at all while turkey hunting. And the best part of it is turkeys aren't scared of the bike if you hop off it real quick and leave it right in the middle of the fire trail and get set up for Mr. Long Beard.
How do ya like my set up. I'm 15. rode right through town after school for 3 weeks strait. I got some funny looks from several police officers, but I wasn't doing anything wrong.

Owner's manual says it's OK to ride thru shallow water or in the rain as the components, including battery are either water -proof or water- resistant. But, also says not to spray wash battery or battery compartment or direct water force on lcd screen.
Just got back from my 1st good "test". Rode from my residence, thru town, and down state highway two miles to one of my hunting leases. Once there I rode logging roads about 1.5 miles to river and along riverbank logging roads. Rode thru a little water (about 6 ft across and 6" deep.) Rode thru a lot of deep sugar sand roads...handles great...no loss of control with the 4" fat tires. Then returned home. Return ride I used all electric power (no pedal assist). Top speed was 28.5 mph.
So far...I love this new toy!!

Is the motor in the hub or crankcase? Don’t think it matters on flat ground but in the hills it does. I have done a little research on them. Nice looking bike. I can see bear hunting off of one.

Boy I have wanted one awhile, I see they've really come down in price. They have a trike model as well. Will be looking into it someday but the 4-wheeler is it for now.

Summit climber rack came in. Had to modify (its made for a Rambo bike), but I think it'll work fine. Zip-tie some pipe insulation to it when fall gets here for a quiet treestand haul.
In the meantime, might get some gobbler blood on that rack in a few weeks.
Also, found a local guy that wanted to sell two Aventon ebikes with 30 miles on em. Bought the step-thru for the wife. We rode 10 miles yesterday...or rather..the bikes carried us 10 miles...lol.
