Most 71 and up mustangs they ruined the line for many years to follow. Nah, I loved my 73 Mach 1....the Mustang II starting in 74 was the beginning of the end for me.

Cragar....were you evah into those 240..260..280Z 's ?
Had one at the shop ...thinking 1979....it had a turbo in it...was one of the first turbos out at the time...that thing would move ! I've driven a bunch , nice car. Buuuuuttt.......lots of rust issues with them. I welded new floors into two of them. That's why you see so few survivors , rust. Too bad the bodies didn't last , fun ride. I put more fenders on them things ...they rotted on top...lol

They did make a 4 barrel that wasn’t a Q code dad had one same as you he regrets selling it he sold it because he couldn’t get it to run right the kid he sold it to wrapped it around a tree after that he read the jets weren’t bored right so all it needed was a new carb and that was the one thing he didn’t replace. Fun cars, havent ruled out replacing that car in the future...

Some how I forgot about the K car. It's not a big loss. LOL! Yeah , not the greatest car , but it was just what Chrysler needed at the time. The company was a mess when Lee Iacocca took over. People wanted a basic affordable car. They sold like crazy , got Chrysler out of a hole and put some money back into the company. You are seeing this now with Hyundai/KIA , basic cars selling cheap. Crummy cars compared to Toyota or Honda but they are selling lots of cars.

I remembah when The Hyundai came out.
With a slight front end crash..the roof would buckle.

73' AMC Javelin I think it had a 400 in it. Didn't take to our NY salted roads at all. Every 100 miles driven 5 more lbs of rust would fall off. Dragging it to the junkyard the frame broke and sparks were flying. When the cop pulled me over he said he followed the drag marks in the asphalt for a couple miles. Threatened me and my buddy with a stack of tickets if we didn't get a flatbed to haul it away. Cost me four times what I got in scrap for the tow. Fasted rotting car I ever owned lol.

My wife had a Pontiac Aztek all wheel drive for about 2 years. She got rid of it when the rear end went out the third time. Warranty wouldn't cover it again.
