My wife was attacked by one in WV. I did not know that WV has a two bite rule. The first bite is a freebie the 2nd bite they fine the owner and take the dog. I guess I violated that rule because when it came on our deck after the first attack I shotit and told the owner to come and get the carcass. He called the Police and they showed up and gave him the fine.
God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

All pit bulls need to be exterminated. How many more people need to be seriously injured or killed by these dogs? Nearly every day we read or see news stories about these monsters. I've been saying it for years. O come on guys it's all how you raise them they are just big babies if they are raised right. Untill they attack. I see it as having a live hand grenade with the pin almost all the way out and playing catch with it.

pits can be good or pits can be bad
the thing is the nicest pit in the world still walks around with TNT strapped to it's neck for biting , holding , thrashing ,crushing power.
I have relatives that have had the nicest pits
but they shouldn't be trusted completely ever , everyone has a bad day , but the guy who can kill you in a single punch needs to be way more careful on that bad day.

that seems like a lot of dogs for one small city back yard
in the cities here 3 is the limit without a kennel license
and they make sure all your neighbors sign off on you having a kennel license or you don't get one.
most cities here also have pit and other dangerous dog registrations and you can see why look at the resources going into dealing with this for cops , firemen , animal control
if the firemen are going to hop your fence to try and work on fire in your house from the back yard and they run into that or know they are running into that , they are going to apply water from the ladder truck and keep the fire from spreading to your neighbors structures while your house burns to the ground.

If a pit bull bites, maims, or kills someone, the owner should be criminally liable. Most pit bull owners don't have homeowners insurance because insurance companies won't insure you if you own one and they know about it.
A friend of mine was attacked by 3 pit bulls while he was visiting his son in TX. He lost most of the lower muscle of his forearm to his wrist and a good share of the thigh muscle in one of his legs. They tore flesh from his back in spots. They would have killed him if it were not for a good samaritan driving by who beat them off him with a baseball bat. He was hospitalized for about a month. They had gotten out of the owners fenced yard. The owner was uninsured. My friend didn't know if the dogs were euthanized or not.
Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.

They are not to be trusted IMHO.

Never leave your weapon at home, this could happen to you any time and any place. I know this from past experience.

Who was the guy on here who hunted hogs with pit bulls? I remember him saying pit bulls were great hog dogs. But, they should never be trusted, especially around children.
