Seems like voter ID should not be a state by state option in a federal election.

In NC, we might see one rule for the primary and a different rule for the general election.

I have to show id and they scan it in Indiana. I think it's reasonable. Everything to function in society requires a state id. Job, bank, ECT. If you can't be bothered to get an id you probably shouldn't be voting. Honestly if you don't have any skin in the game like you don't work or are not retired, don't own property something you shouldn't either. Before I get hammered on that I will explain why. If your not paying in have not paid in and have nothing like land or a house the largest majority will just be people living off those that do and only interested in having people in office there will give out more free stuff paid for by producers.

The issue is not about being bothered to get an ID, that's only an excuse by the left to defend creating a system in which it is very difficult to prevent cheating or to prove that it has occurred and to what extent.

When I vote I have to show my DL.

I show my ID to people that already know me then they check my name off of the voter registration list before I’m even handed a ballot. I have a certain place I can vote or I can vote early at the courthouse.

Colorado law now states that as of June 2023, anyone who takes, and passes a driving test SHALL be issued a drivers license, even undocumented immigrants. To vote in Colorado you need to show a current photo drivers license. AND, after you obtain a drivers license you are automatically registered to vote. Now you know. Look it up. Makes it legal for someone who waded across the Rio Grande to vote in all elections.

There should be no mail in Ballotswith the only exception Military. If they cannot vote Voting day then they have the option to vote early and with an ID!!!
