A camel goes for about 10 grand in the US now but I imagine the wild ones have poor attitudes.

Interesting video popped up in my feed yesterday from down there.

Some guy processing one of those things and grilling up the hump. Looked like beaver tail to me. That white fatty gristle looking stuff.

Seen some camel jockeys trying to butcher one, that camel tossed them around like toys. The local exotic animal ranch guy says they can move big round bales pretty easy.

I watched another Aussie killing nuisance camels a couple of weeks ago. He used some high powered, very quiet, pellet gun, like nothing I've ever seen before. He head shot all the camels.

The cheapest I've ever seen a camel is $6500.00 and I saw one sell for over $24,000.00 once.

I wonder how camel hump oil would do as a lure?

Camel meat steaks are very good. We ate camel on New Year's Day, a few years ago.

looks like a waste. Lot of hungry people in Australia . But they might have gotten them processed. Don't look too wild. Look like they drove around until they found some cows standing in a field and went to shooting. White guy I think hit a cow. Watch you see cow run behind camel just as he shot . Cow kicked like it got hit.

In all the videos I saw, they let the camels lay. Australia is huge. The area where the camels are is very sparsely populated. It would be cost prohibitive to transport them.

All I can say is his gun seemed to have all the bells and whistles and he is still one lousy shot .

I have watched quite a few of his videos. His AR is pump action because Australia is communist. He detailed how long it took to get the gun and the draconian measures to that end. Buying ammo in Australia is very difficult.

They sometimes cut the backstraps out of the camels to eat. He has an Aborigine helper that eats it quite a bit. The camels are competition for water/grazing on their very large cattle farm.

At 113 degrees F, you would have to move quick to salvage any meat.
