upstateNY trapper U Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 16,317 ny	I bring a rod with me when tending a tip up.Soon as I pull the fish out of the water,,,I drop a jig down and jig for a minute.About half the time I will smack another one or two right away.Same for perch. the wheels of the gods turn very slowly
