1st pic. The red spots are two hole and the left one is baited and the green spot is urine and maybe bait, not sure.

Look at how the coyote is approaching the dirt hole in picture two. You have brought him around from the back side around the backing. Place the trap where the yote is standing. If I were to set this, I would put in a second blind set just inside of the tree along the backing with a light stepping guide (stone, twig), right in the yotes tracks.

I think that pic makes the tree look close but it isn't. Its at least 3 feet if not 5-6 feet. Can't remember very well.

They're going to circle to the back of that set a lot more than you think. A blind set wouldn't hurt anything. It's like the old saying goes, if it's good enough for one trap, it's good enough for two. Like mentioned, use very subtle guiding on it.

And ALWAYS put your smells where the coyote has to “work” to get at it. Don’t give them a free taste.
Your green blob on the branch there would have served you better to be under the branch.
