It used to be run by Reed Exhibitions and called the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show until they screwed up big-time and went woke banning the sale of AR's and and other semi-auto rifles and their vendors after a school shooting. There was a massive boycott by many vendors and tens of thousands of attendees promised to boycott. Because of that the show was canceled in 2013. In 2014 your favorite group, the National Rifle Association sponsored the event. It was renamed the Great American Outdoor Show and it was a huge success with between 250,000 and 325,000 attending and over a thousand vendors. The NRA has been sponsoring the show ever since. Eh...wot?
