I bought a new Silverado this week. I'm pondering a bedliner, at least for the bottom. Have some of you had success finding a liner to spray or roll on, preferably something that is not slippery? My old truck came with a liner, this time not.

I don't know anything about spray in bedliners. I have a rubber mat in mine that makes kneeling much more comfortable than the bare metal or a plastic bedliner. I do have a cap on the truck also, so moisture isn't much of an issue with the rubber mat. The rubber also keeps things from sliding all over the place.

Problem with mats or plastic inserts is they trap moisture underneath and the constant abrasion against the steel bed along with the moisture can lead to rusting.
The spray ons like Rhino coat or whatever the dealers use are very good and not slippery, but expensive. There are roll ons that are similar but I have no experience with them, ... I know Home Depot and the like have it . I'm sure Amazon or other online dealers have information on them.

What SJA said... you won't be sorry if you plan to keep the truck a few years...

That's interesting. I've always used a rubber matt and I've never had rusting problems. My truck beds gets beat to heck too.

I really like the pre-cut rubber matts. Keeps stuff from sliding around.

I've thought about the rubber mat but the issue I see with that is moisture under it. If there is a good sealant, let me know, but on my current Silverado I find it ~impossible to keep all moisture out from under my tonno cover--maybe it comes in thru the tailgate, stake pockets or around the toolbox.

My 2000 silverado got rhinolineed the day it left the dealership. 24 years and 300k miles of hunting, fishing, trapping and farming later it still looks almost as good as the day it was installed. It was put in professionally. That may make a difference compared to a do it yourself job.

Professional sprayed on liner is the only way to go. I have applied the liner on with a roller after sand blasting the surface and it was one big waste of money. I had my dump trailer professionally sprayed because we use it in the winter and it keeps the surface safe from employees slipping if they are loading with wheelbarrows.

I had a GMC with the Line-X in the bed. Carried hundreds of live raccoons in cage traps in the bed. No damage , not even scratches. Anything raccoon proof is worth the crazy price they change. Tough stuff.

I bought the heavy rubber mat from GM for my 2024 work truck . I don't know how anyone can use a truck bed without one . I've also have a couple of older trucks with heavy rubber mats with no moisture issues but I live in a dry climate.

We had a lot of freestall barns around here that went from rubber mats on concrete to other bedding and I got two for taking them off the farm. These are about 1 inch or more in thickness and they were about 4 by 6.5 foot. I cut them to fit and they are not the smooth rubber but the softer rubber, non slip. Put them in my 2006 pickup when I bought it used in 2015.
