My dog ran a coon down and got tore up pretty good. Her upper eyebrow was chewed up some. Eye was funky for about two days. Rinsed with eye wash. Looked good. This was about a month ago. Took her hunting this past weekend and noticed one eye not reflecting light like it should. Any thoughts. Eye looked irritated some. A little red.

You need to see a real Vet, not just a bunch of "Redneck Good Ol' Boy's". One of my Beagles has a Cataract and she's blind in that eye. If it's not reflecting light, like it should, It's likely toast.

I had a english bluetick that lost an eye fighting a coon in a culvert. Didn't slow him down any. He could climb trees if branches were low enough. When the coon jumped he would too. Had bad arthritis when he got old. Vet gave me prednisone for him. Last time I hunted him was with a buddy. Dogs got treed and then moved to another tree. Joe was lying on the ground under the first tree. I am sure he had jumped. I carried him back to the pickup. We let the other dog out at at a new location. When he got treed Joe was whining and crying in the dog box. So I opened the door and he literally started crawling to get there. I put him back in and didnt hunt him anymore. He could barely get around the yard.
Like was said take him to a vet if its not healing on its own.

Ok thanks for advice. She ran a coon forever, it refused to climb and must of got pushed out of home turf because didn’t hole up. Killed it in thick tree tops

Had a greyhound lose an eye and he was still a coyote killing machine.
