I asked several desk people and Drs both how being unarmed made me safer. Never got an answer. I doubt that had anything to do with removing the sign. I never have brought in a firearm but I never have left my pocket knife outside.

Had two surgeries at Leavenworth Hosp and no detector there either.

No kidding. Drove to different er. Packed with low class people using it like it's a family dr. As much as it takes for me to go to a hospital. Wow. Walked out if I'm not dead by 7 I will just go to work

Maybe putting an Alka Seltzer under your tongue for effect would help.

Down a couple full strength aspirins first

Ok last few days been having pain in my back between spine and shoulder blade. Something pops out there every fer years either I get it popped back in or go to a back cracker that does. Yesterday that pain moved over to the left more in the center of the shoulder and seemed maybe it was radiating over. Then before work it was into my last on the left side and my left arm. Considered leaving work but figured it was just a nerve from my back causing issues. Tried to sleep left tricep cramped like Charly horse any time I used it. Finally got an hour nap woke up with the cramp now in my left bicep. Got in shower and when using left arm cramping/ Charly horse pain in bicip stope me in my tracks straighting it helped it alleviate some. While in the shower I ribed where it hurt and it felt much better but I felt pain move into my forearm and it started cramping with use. Mom had a friend that's leg was hurting nher and her husband rubed it it felt better and she died shortly after. A blood clot broke loose and that was it. Wife's friend died from similar.
So I decided to go to ER pain is no joke. Well can't get in and taken seriously so to heck with it it's probably nothing anyway.

My VA Doc has me taking a low dose aspirin daily as a blood thinner. Guess it works OK, I get these "Senior Tattoos", those little purple busted veins/arteries on my arm. LOL

Won't matter If you want fast service start speaking Spanish and flipping the bird....

My wife was laying in the floor by the time I got there . I took her to another hospital by car. I yelled Chimechanga as I was leaving and 447 greasy heads peaked out of the 40 er rooms.

Yes sir I'm out of shape. But boss friend at work had a heart attack at 38 so yes it happens. I figured just like what your saying for the last several days. Until the pain in my arm quit then moved after rubbing on it. That scared me since I know 3 people one my wife. Best friend from highschool died from blood clot moving around.

Mom had similar issues when her appendix burst. She walked in in great pain they informed her treated her like she was a drug addict looking for a fix. Screw around in slow mode until the test showed the problem then it was super fast into surgery. Doctor said they didn't take her seriously because she should have been in so much pain she couldn't bmove on her own and apologized.

Well health care sucks now! We have to deal with it. To top it off the price for insurance is through the roof! But if you think something serious is wrong you need to suffer through the process. You are not teaching anyone a lesson by walking out. They don't care! Man get yourself looked at cause you are right it could be serious! Also, don't try going through a metal detector with a knife in your pocket.

At our hospital, which is small and critical access. But if you tell them your having any pain chest or symptoms to heart attack or stroke we have so much time to get in room and test like ekg, blood work and ect.. to get you stable or shipped to a better setting. I think it's like 5 minutes is what they push for to determine if your experiencing what you think you are. I went in to our er because had a pulled rib, funny feeling in my chest, nd wasnt sure what was hoing on. I said chest pain I didn't think it was a heart attack but they had me in and hooked up before I could spit that out.

Lots of young ppl have heart attacks boco.....news tonight was 45 yr old important govt worker had one. In Philippines very common for men to have strokes at 30. Better safe than sorry in his case as I think he must have a desk job or shipping as he is on pc alot or phone. I can relate to your thinking. Me,,Im not that easy.

Heavy equipment operator I'm a aluminum plant in the Ingot department. So lots of down time waiting on process to finish. Depending on the day and job that day.

Go back in and tell them you are having severe pains radiating down your left arm. I would bet you will be hooked up to all kinds of stuff quicker than if you hit the floor. Don't ignore the signs your body is giving you!

My sister volunteers as a EMT for the small town she lives in. She said if you ever need to go the the ER and you think its serious. Drive your vehicle right into the garage door that is used by the ambulance. The overhead door will automatically open and you wont get into trouble and you will get immediate attention.

Called in cancelled my night shift tonight. Drove almost home at small walk in place that's also a small e room with all e room equipment.

Told them what's going on and still have a seat we will be with you In a while. Not taking very serious so I guess I shouldn't either. All the adds if your chest hurts use your head lol. Should have went home. If it's something serious I would find out soon enough and if it's nothing I'm not waiting in a waiting room for nothing.

I ended up in the emergency room three weeks ago, same symptoms. My calicium level was low. Theygave me a bag of calcium been good since.

Hospitals are strange now. I could walk into the big hospital i go to in Pittsburgh with a full backpack and they don't so much as glance my way. I could be carrying 6 guns and a bomb and they wouldn't know. But at the one local hospital they make you go back out for a tiny knife or multi tool.

Probably I think its nothing but a nerve issue but going to get ultrasound my arm and EKG and something with blood work.. better safe than sorry. So far this small office isn't to bad. Really fast vs standard hospital ER and staff seems good and care's.. I'm betting I will get out of here in the next 40 minutes unless they see an issue that needs more testing.

But then to figure out the nerve issue if that's what it is.

On a positive note my 71 year old retired electrician friend called and wants to take the kids rabbit hunting with his dog tomorrow. They have never got to hunt with dogs before so that's exciting. I plan on tagging along if I'm feeling up to it. Probably take a walking stick instead of a gun.

Dr came in everything is good says likely inflammation in nerves in my back like I suspected. It's a lot of piece of mind for sure but dag gum it sure is painfully irritating. .

I went in for some stomach trouble one time - been turkey hunting. When they let me go I had two heart stents - one 99% blocked. I was gonna hunt three days in a row. Dr said if I hadnt come in when I did - I would have never made it in again. Good luck!

I was going into a hospital for my wife. And my pistol set off the metal detector 2 guys came towards me and I just turned around and walked back to the car and put it in the car.

All the ER's in Louisville have them but only the ER entrance. It was something new to me for. Evansville. Told the guy my arm was hurting it could be a heart attack or blood clot and I didn't have time for his security theater. The rent a cop got offended so I pointed out I can walk in any other door in the hospital and not go through a detector and come into the ER from there. The real cop nodded knowingly. The rent a cop made excuses I didn't hear because I was in my way to be ignored at the check in desk at least until I got feed up and left.

Seriously if anyone plans on doing harm the first thing the will do is take out the cop and rent a cop working the entrance before they can react they are sitting ducks. It's all feel good theater.

I hope you're okay. Make sure they give you the care and attention you deserve. Don't go easy on them, but don't be overly impolite either. Your family needs you. It's good having you on Trapperman too.

Results of the rabbit hunt. We don't have a lot of them but my oldest got 2 & youngest shot 1. The younger went home an hour or so before we quit to guitar lessons. It was a good day with friends. My walking stick is great for smacking brush to flush rabbits.

My friends dogs moved all 3 rabbits. One made a full circle the other two just made it out of the black berrys. The dogs are over 10 fat and had not been ran much but loved getting out and did their job. They stayed close until on a track.

My arm cramping woke me up last night it was so bad I nearly went back to the ER but figured they ran all the tes so nothin they could do. Sleep on the couch so the wife could get back to sleep.

Went to a chiropractor today. But it's done nothing to help the shoulder or arm. Got invited on a moose hunt BUT $$$. Not ready to drop cash like that on a hunt. I could get a good start on a lot of things at the farm for the price.

It was nice the boys got to see some rabbit dogs work for sure. I wanted to get a good picture of everyone and the dogs but with my youngest leaving early and being pushed for time to get to my appointment these were the best I got.

Looks like you posted pics of some good memories made with the kids. Be ashamed something happens because you didn’t feel like waiting for a Doc. I can tell you as you get older those memories mean more. I want to be around to have those types of pics with my Granddaughter at their age. Heck, I want to be around when my great great granddaughter is that age.

Best and only thing I have ever done in my life. Well along with their older sister and brother . My daughter is 21 and does not like her picture taken or out on line. But here is one of their older brother. He would be 17 but never got more than 5 days older than in this picture. He was killed by a guy that ran a red light and t bones us hitting right in my son's door.

So I'm a touch slow at times. But I have a theory. I recently changed jobs in my department. It's running the same equipment but it's a much rougher job. Lots of beating and banging and running over things . Many times I get impacts like low speed car wrecks a few times a day.

I think this is has set off some of my old . injurys and maybe cause a few more. I had one very hard impact backing up just a day before I really started having problems head wiped back over the back of the seat.

I can't believe I over looked that.

Still had problems all day but seem to get a little less severe for a bit. Called in for tomorrow to give myself a little more time to hopefully heal up.

New job may not last long when another spot comes open

So much for it's improving. Well it lasted an hour and half later in the night before it woke me up from discomfort.
And I moved to the couch.

I wish you well Providence, but I also hope you realize there is more to life than just work. Ignoring the things your body is telling you won't go on forever. At some point in time, all systems shut down without the proper maintenance. Take care of yourself. If not for you, do it for your family.

Ya feeling pretty useless today. Had a hard time showering, wife didn't even ask and came over and put my socks on me. ( Talk about embarrassing) I had a very hard time and had to drag with my right arm to empty the ash pan on the out door burner.

Got in to the family Dr tomorrow but will be nothing but recommend for test and another specialist I'm sure. So that's two days off work. But honestly it's going to be a lot more.
This goes from constant dual pain I can function with but don't like to incapacitating cramp/pain nearly drop me in my tracks with random minor movement.

Looked at the wood pile and it's getting low. Glad I started the boys running saws the last few years. Going to go through a lot of chains with them hitting the dirt though.

Age ? I had my stroke at 45. If that clot hadn't made it out of my heart, I would've been dead before I hit the floor. It was huge. Big enough that two months later , after all the very expensive clot busting drugs I had received in the ER and ICU, I still had a blood clot in the same chamber . It was found while checking it prior to a procedure to fix my poor , beat up heart.

Hearts are amazing ! Amazing bioelectric pumps . Until some electrical snafu turns it into a churn. Don't take them for granted.
