We love moving here around the Grand Kids. Now we usually have them about every weekend. They sure do love the outdoors.

And just thing we have some thinking about being fixed without experiencing the joy. Before I had kids I never wanted them. Now that I have them I would be empty without them. Best thing in my life ever. Well got to add my wife in there its a combo deal after all. I would be lost with out her for sure.

I don’t think that’s fair PF, not everybody’s situation or circumstances are desirable to start a family. You also don’t have to birth children to “mother” or “father” a kid.

Nothing I said was to be mean. Just my personal experience. I had no interest in kids but once I had them and experienced having them I now know what I would have been missing had I not became a father. The thing is I wouldn't know what I was missing so had I not... So I thought pointing that out before hand may be helpful.

I would have more time and a lot more money in the bank and have been able to do more thing had I not became a father. But if I multiple all the money and activities I may have had 10, 20,50, 100 times over and lack of responsibility demands I wouldn't trade a second. Well I would give my life in fact if I could bring my son Levi back.

But it's one of those things you don't know or understand untill you experience it. So it's something to think about .

Sure you can adopt. And be a mother and father for sure. Mom adopted 4 I'm her only biological. Mom loves them dearly but it's not the same regardless of what anyone claims. Playing the genetic loto can get frustrating as they get older and behavior and genetic traits start pulling on them. Just like other animals genetic shape who people are and how they act and react at the deepest level. Environment can help but it more of a fight for them especially drug babys .. the youngest got more drugs was high when he was born brain didn't quite develop in a few areas. We have talked about adopting but I'm hesitant after watching my brother and sisters behavior and choices. I was raised in the same home and am doing quite well. They all have kids with more than one partner and are doing well to have a roof over their head. Infact I heard my brother is staying with friends bouncing around after getting kicked out of his apartment. His truck is broken also. He is dumb enough to have called mom asking for her to pay for him to hire an attorney so he could try to get one of his kids. 1. No one in their right mind gives a kid to someone with no home, car , and unemployed at the moment. #2 mom is disabled since her cancer popped up and has only her basic need meet.

So I don't believe I will adopt. Unless it would be very specific circumstances. Like a young mom feeling cornered and going to have an abortion due to worrying about being able to afford to take care of and raise a kid alone. But definitely not from known drug addicts a rapists head case father. I'm not built to handle the issues mom has delt with over the last 30 some odd years. One thing is for sure she sure mad a huge difference in their Life. It disappointing they keep making poor choices but you can't live their life's for them.

Also my wife was going to get fixed during her 2nd c section. We had our boy and girl and we're done we thought. I didn't like the idea but pregnancy was hard on her. She didn't then though. Our son our 2nd child was killed in a wreck. After a few years we decided to have another after 2 miscarriage one was at 26 weeks we did then we
a few years later we had a surprise birth control baby #4.

Thank goodness she didn't get fixed after #2 she did after # 4 and did created some other issues down the road.


Like you say everyone has a different situation. I just want people to make an informed choice since you don't know what you don't know. Even after being told you don't understand it tell you experienced it. I hear grand kids are even better. But I won't know that until I get there

My granddaughter turns one year old today. In ~2 hours from now and she has come a long way from a year age. Kids are a very special gift need to cherish every minute.
