Lowe’s, Home Depo Cary these. The bracket was from a picture I found on here 10-15 years ago just copied it. Just like loading bullets in a press only need one hand the other can hold the cable. Western Wildlife Services That is genius!

I dont trust the swaged ferrells-had a couple pop off from big wolves.Scrapped those and started hammering my own. You will never have that problem with hammered and crosspunched ferrells.

Will these work on cables for DP traps. Yes. It's what I use down in the creek bottoms. Half-hitch them to a small tree. I make em about 5 to 6 feet long. Never an issue. Coons focus on DP on their foot.....not the cable.

Just my past experience wws with some snares I purchased. They might have been made to let go at a certain force- crap whatever they were. I dont want snares that come apart.

Should always inspect cables that you or someone else made. If you did have release ferrules on a snare, its a pretty distinctive mark thats much different from a normal swagged ferrule. Properly swaged ferrules should have the strength of at least 50% of the working load of the cable IIRC

The way I do mine they are stronger than the cable. Far superior to swaged for my use.
