I can across these old swivels and they reminded me of the swivels on the larger bear traps. One is 3" long while the other is 3 1/4". Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Your swivels are simular to the ones used on the Newhouse bear traps, Animal Trap Company of America did not have their own foundery to make cast parts, so they had them made. Parts like swivels were purchased from suppliers and were not special made for them, so they were available to the open market. Swivels did vary some depending on what was available. The cast swivels on the Newhouse #50 and 150 were around 3 to 3 1/2", #5 and 15 about 4" and #6 about 5".

Thank you for that information. I thought they looked a lot like the ones on the larger Newhouse's but didn't know what sizes. Do they have any value and if so, any idea on how much?
