What works best for you on bodygrips and footholds. Do you prefer to speed dip? wax and dye? Spray paint?

I thinned down some Rustoleum and dipped my water traps, I like it better than anything I have used or seen.

Pinktail. Waxing traps that have been speed dipped (gasoline products) ruins the wax for any K9 traps. The dip leaches into the wax, turining it dark brown and stinky (learned that the hard way). I did turn about 12lbs of trap wax into candles last winter. Lots and lots of candles.

I dip them multiple times in Formula One. Cut it one part F1 to 2 parts water. It is the cheapest and best way in the long run. Same with land traps and snares, you just can't beat it. Go to Snare One and buy a couple of gallons of brown.

Here is the link http://www.snareone.com

Mineral spirits, dipped them once, it put a better coat on the traps than anything else I have seen. I done about 8 dozen traps with a quart for rustoleum and mineral spirits, cost under 20 dollars.

F1 just does not do it for me, tried it and just did not like the results,

Pintail, waxing over dip will also make your traps too slick to hold anything.

I'm like blaine I use rustolem rusty metal paint and mix about 1 3/4 gal. of thinner to the gal of paint. Nice quick job and it's not sticky, and will dry in a few hours. I think the best thing is if you have to retreat in the winter you can do it in the basement without the gas smell in you house.

Formula 1 on all footholds and logwood powder or crystals on all conibears except for a couple dozen 110s/120s that I like White Formula 1 on for mink in snow.

Similar to Blaine but I use cheap latex paint and thin it with water at a 2 (water) to 1 (paint) ratio. Choose any color paint you want.
