I use the "Original Tube Trap" it has holes in the bottom so you can screw it down on a board for stability. I bait with salted peanuts in the hull. You can get a bag at Wal Mart for a couple of bucks. They make for a great snack also. The original is manufactured by Best Trap in PA and are available through Wildlife Control Supplies. There is an after market tube trap, that in my opinion , is inadequate.

I just caught 7 squirrels in 28 hours at a skunk job.

Customer had a female skunk under his porch that would move to the shed. Multiple cats outside so I was using peanut butter and marshmallows to try and avoid the cats.

I had one large cage trap set behind the shed under a tree and twice had two in it together and three other separate squirrels.

Pulled the trap in that spot and the squirrels stopped. So I’m going with location on this, but man Skippy extra smooth and jet puff marshmallow KILLS

@TCAP, That's one way to fill traps with non target catches. Positive sets at burrow and trail sets if possible.

The guy has 5 outdoor cats, so that was my main approach. Positive sets over the burrows and the cage on the trail set the animals were running off his property is where the squirrels were getting clogged up in. Caught 7 squirrels but still caught the problem skunk and coon with the same bait
