When something is old and original and no longer made, there is a limited number available, making it desirable and valuable. Modern or reproduction items can be made in any quantity to fill the demand, thus, less valuable. And, for most collectors, not desirable.

snakecollector trapper S Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 622 S.W. Oregon,USA	Bob, The Newhouse clamps have a short neck, the threads go al the way up to the handle. The clamp on the right is not a Newhouse, it has a longer neck, some are even longer.
