Never was into Beatles either, didn't get what all the hype was about. Same with eagles, Elvis, p Floyd, Dylan, Joplin, and a slew of others. I was in the air morning of 9/11, and got put down quickly at Denver international. Had to get one of very last rentals and it was my only way home. Driving that thing 7 hours back home I got so sick of Lee Greenwood's God bless the USA, was about only thing on radio playing in a loop in some of those stretches back. Still not a fan because of the serious overplay experience. Good thing about music, there is something for everyone. Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
Anything Hasselhoff. I dont get why he was so popular overseas(notably Germany and Japan), unless their taste in music is just that bad. Out of curiosity I tried to find some music by the Hoff and it sucks bigly.
Theres a big difference between overrated and just plain sucks. Overrated means it gets way more attention than it deserves.
Like someone else said, it doesn't have to be bad to be overrated. The Eagles are pretty decent musicians, especially Joe Walsh. But their whole schtick just doesn't impress me. I thought the members made better music in their solo careers... Or with Joe Walsh, his solo career or the James Gang.
Pink Floyd is fine in moderation... And I consider Gilmour's guitar solo in "Time" as one of the greatest ever.
Stairway to Heaven is a good song... But I like a lot of Zeppelin's other stuff more. Especially their blues covers that don't get near the play as their other stuff.
I think after a while even good stuff gets worn out... Familiarity breeds contempt.

I'm gonna go with Smoke on the Water. It was an okay tune up until my son first started playing guitar, and after hearing it about 10,000 times in a week it moved into the overrated column for me. Great, now it's back to ear worm material thanks to this thread...
