160's are tops. I have caught some so big their heads nearly didn't fit in the trap. Don't worry about trying to brush them in. G-Hogs are brave and will walk right in them.

You can still use UNBAITED 160's on land here in NY as long as they measure 6" or less and as long as the top jaw isn't higher than 8" from the ground. The regulations don't apply to NWCO's either unless they are fur trapping during the open season. Don't forget that 120's, espicially the Belise's will stop'um cold and fit the holes better sometimes too.

Just did a job last week, caught 32 in 3 days .I did a few 120's. I found some holes where the sow was coming out of the main hole and the young was coming out of another hole, knew this because of the size of the hole. I had two small ones in the same 120 on morning last week. I would not set too many 120's because of the size of the trap but when I find the small holes were the young are coming out of I will drop one of these traps in.

I use 120s where I can as that is the max legal bodygrip on land in Ohio.

Be sure to check your regs on groundhog trapping, some states may require some kind of barrier to keep other animals out of the traps when using traps at groundhog dens.
