I'm having a problem with keeping my grip on those plastic handles ecspecialy when fleshing coon. Have any of you guys had the same problem and if ya did what did you do to make it better? BTW, I use nitrile gloves when skinning and fleshing.
Thanks.

I don't have a problem with gripping mine. You might want to try some anti skid strips you put on floors and put them on your handles. they come in different widths and lenghts. you can pick them up at any Lowes,Home Depot type stores. You would have to make sure your handles are clean of all grease or will have trouble with them sticking.

Cut a couple rags the right size and wrap around the handles. Secure with rubberbands.

We keep a generous helping of sawdust around and dip the handles in it while working.....Free and works good......

i flesh with one almost every day all fall and winter, use the nitrile gloves they are great, but put a cheap pair of white cotton gloves or brownie gloves over them, they go a long time before they get slick from grease and give a great grip, wash in 20 mule team and they are good to go again.

I am like possum, I use cheap cotton gloves over latex or nitrile. I had an old pair of leather gloves that I cut the fingers out of that I used for a while, but they got too hard to get on and off.
