Cool, I'll have to look around to see if they make any different ones for that model. The guy at the store said it was a full choke so I will have to see about other sizes.

I agree. I know one other kid who traps at my school and he is just, idk how to put it. His methods are not mine.(he's a senior this year too like me) Idk what his problem is with the feral cats are but feels no mercy for them, mainly when hes deer hunting with his bow and he gets bored and no deer walk by, but you know what, does frown Either way I'm glad I can talk to normal responsible trappers that have respect for nature.

I see your point of view but I also se his. Let me explain. We all agree a house cat is pretty much a tamed wild cat like a bobcat right? Well when a cat goes ferrel it goes back to those killing instincts then they start hurting quail and rabbits so I see you don’t want a kitty to get killed but there’s a big difference in your kitty and a ferrel cat that is doing exactly what a bobcat is doing. Your right, I think its more of just his concept that bothers me though, he was just killing just because, not because of any reason. Feral cats can be bad though, they can easily break down an ecosystem. My grandma feeds these 2 feral cats and their range is huge. I live an acre or so away and we both have cats, but the thing is is that where I trap (about a mile from my house I like it cause I can walk back and forth) the feral cat's range dips into that, and I dont want to catch one by accident i'm not sure what the outcome would be, in terms of the animal and my safety. That reminds me, alot of sources say that house cat meat is excellent bait. This old book I have says about taking a gallon jar and filling it up with a bunch of chunked-up house cat carcasses "about the size of a lemon" after letting it taint some and then adding some preservative. I think jar of nasty smelly cat chunks in plain view in your house, say on the shelf, in your house would be a great way to end your social live lol.

That’s true but as someone who wants to go into wild life conservation I’d do what’s best for the small game population.

I agree. Honestly even if there is 1 feral cat that cat is still taking birds and small game so its a varmint. Its really no different than any other small predator, and besides that you can't argue with science and statistics taken by scientists, they arn't good for the environment. They are by definition a pest, almost an invasive species, and like you said, its not a pet anymore. It feral, its mindscape is wild. They almost become wild.

You’re absolutely right! Another thing for me is stray dogs not wild dogs but the dogs who the meth heads “ own” that run wild I’ve seen me with rabbits in their mouth

Lucky I haven't had any encounters with dogs like that. Feral or just someones pet running loose, its only a matter of time before someones "pet" does something not so friendly. I knew someone who let there dog run loose all the time and it would kill anything it could warp its jaws that's not another dog, groundhogs, cats, birds, you name it. That dog was so unpredictable I bet if it was twice its size small dogs would be in trouble. around In my area people will shoot your dog for running the deer so people don't take it lightly. I for one would let NOT someones "pet" go through all 9 of my chickens. Idk thought its never happened to me

You guessed right, they are easy to trap, and they are pretty much everywhere. Sometimes it seems like they are all you will catch, but they say trapping after the snow is on the ground will reduce your chances of catching one since they semi-hibernate.

Unfortunately I dont have a shop or anything set up. I'm not too experienced with traps and mod for them, I only have about a dozen so far, I haven't messed with them much besides the basics.
