I bought some oils and extracts from MB to make beaver lures.
I was thinking about what to use as a base for food and curiosity lure. I looked out and saw my willows were budding....Hmmm.

If I dry these buds and run them through a food processor will they make a "proper" base or am I going up a blind alley?

I've made poplar bud oil by mixing the buds with grape seed oil and stew in the Crock-Pot for 8 to 12 hours on low and then straining

there are videos on youtube about steam distillation of essential oil and stills available on amazon

Why not just put fresh popple or birch buds in a blender add a little mineral oil or glycerine or nothing and let her rip
