I'm not a sports guy, I couldn't care less about that sort of thing. But NPR interviewed the commissioner of the league today and he said he was going to require the players to stand for the national anthem. The NPR interviewer, obviously a liberal, got all (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) about that and kept pressing him as to why he wouldnt "let players express themselves". He didn't take the bait, and didn't give her much of an answer. Good for him

I'm watching. Saw most of the first game, and just turned on the second game with 5 minutes left. Probably a slightly better product then the AAFL was. Hope the league last longer then the AAFL did too.

I watched some of the Houston/LA game and it wasn't bad. And I agree with iron rob - the NFL needs competition

This isn’t going to be competition for the NFL, and its not intended to be. Thats why it started after the NFL season ended.

No favorite yet. There's several teams I like. I'm so impressed with the league that I bought the XFL t shirt on XFL's website.

I'm sure glad the XFL will be back. I'm frustrated w/ NFL. XFL's motto is 'for the love of football.' It doesn't have the baggage like NFL does. The Rock Dwayne Johnson bought the leage this week. I wore my XFL shirt to work this week. Give the XFL a serious look. You might be impressed. And for those that don't know about The Rock, he played for the National Champion Miami Hurricanes in the early '90s.

I hear ya. I'm really hoping they don't kneel. If they behave properly, I think they have a gr8 chance to pick up former NFL fans.

Pro athletes are young. Most young people are liberal. It wouldnt surprise me if we do see BLM or something. Lets just not polarize them so that as they mature into later adulthood they become more conservative.

After seeing the Packers sit out a day of practice this week, basically in protest, I think such behavior will hurt NFL. People I talk to are angry with the way sports are going this summer. When XFL returns, I think it'll thrive IF they focus on football & don't participate in protests.

Ok, I read half of it & that was all I could handle. I see what you're saying Badger. Darn. Here I thought it might be a league I could be on board with.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you're into sports that league seemed reasonable on salaries and playing because they like the game.
I'm not a big sports fan but I used to watch a few games here and there. Not an avid Packer fan but a fan that likes passing teams. NBA isn't real basketball since the mid 90's. MLB I used to be a Cubs and Brewers fan but I don't care anymore. If pro sports went under it won't disrupt my life much. There's other things on TV. The conservative fans need to remember these players and teams and not spend a dime on them.


I'm disappointed in college sports as well. My wife is from Iowa and with their statement saying they were going to kneel and if the fans didn't like it they don't have to watch that's simple enough to do. I have Badger stuff and I'll wear it but to me it represents the state I'm from not a college team I agree with.

I admire Johnsons work ethic and success by on political views he can kma. xfl/nfl really no difference, they all need to go bankrupt and B-Gone.

I'm loving this rendition 3.0 of the XFL. Unfortunately attendance & viewership is bad. It's partly because of the channels it's on. The competitiveness is good, the production package is great and the players have more talent than I expected. Unfortunately it's not going over very well like the NFL. Thus far as far as I can tell the XFL isn't Woke & the players seem all about playing for the love of the game than about themselves. Anybody else wondering why the NFL is thriving while the XFL is doing so bad?

This is another attempt at this it's been going on since the 70s but it never seems to stick, it would be sweet if they give the NFL some lessons in respect or it will fail like the times before. They have a thin line to walk .

I think they're doing a great job but I don't know anybody other than myself and my nephews that like the XFL.

Been going to and watching the high school baseball playoffs got a local team that is 35-0 as of now one more win they go to state tournament now this is fun baseball imop.

I think it's been great this year. XFL is 1 conference, USFL is the other. Together it is the UFL.
