Mr. Ed OP trapper M Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 843 upstate NY	I have a few # 14 jump traps. Does anybody know when they stopped making the "figure 8" type double link chain and went with the current style double link ?

wissmiss trapper W Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 16,706 north Idaho	I think that change over happened about 1925. That is when Animal Trap Company took over the trap making operation from Oneida Community. I've seen quite a few # 14 jumps over the years and it seems that just about all of them follow this pattern - OC pan and figure 8 chain ATCo pan and twin loop chain www.usedtraps.com Please check out my updated inventory of Native American books.
