I have a few # 14 jump traps. Does anybody know when they stopped making the "figure 8" type double link chain and went with the current style double link ?

I think that change over happened about 1925. That is when Animal Trap Company took over the trap making operation from Oneida Community.

I've seen quite a few # 14 jumps over the years and it seems that just about all of them follow this pattern -

OC pan and figure 8 chain

ATCo pan and twin loop chain

Wow cannot believe my old figure 8 chain traps are still in pretty good shape and strong. Old time craftsmanship.
