just got this trap and i cannot for the life of me find the information on this.
Most Newhouse #1's have the date after the word Pat. but his one dosent.
Also it says made in the USA on the spring.

if anyone could give me some info on this or direct me to who can help me out that would be great!

Tyler

Tyler, The patent date for this trap was Dec. 16, '02. That patent was good for 17 years from that date. After 17 years, in Dec. 1919, Oneida Community dropped the date and just left the "Pat." on the pan. In 1914 the 1891 "Truth in Labeling Law" was amended so that the words "made in" had to accompany the country of origin on all imports. In order to comply, they started marking the traps "made in USA".

So the trap pictured was made between 1919 and 1925 when OC sold out to ATC. Rarely can the date of manufacture of a trap be that precise.
