Will the Comstock swing panels hold groundhogs or do you need a trap with a lock?

The 8x6 is 12ga wire, so it will hold a groundhog. Not sure if the door works the same as the standard 11x9 cage. Contact Jim Comstock at his website he will tell you.

I don't doubt they are built well, just wondering if they have the dexterity to open the door given that there is no lock, just spring tension. I figured there would be several on here that use them.
