I friend has one and can't find much information on them. I did a search on here and all I see is discussion about a setter. Does anyone know who, when, and why on these traps? Also value?

They were made in 3 different styles as I recall and made in North Dakota in the late 80's or early 90's as I recall. They typically don't bring big money, $25-40.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I have a few here...what exactly were they made for? seems only good for maybe coon or skunk...way too small for coyotes foot...wonder how catching coon would save lambs?

The traps were made for digger fox. Idea was to make a dirt hole and insert the trap in the hole. Some folks had some success with them if they were wedged in with a couple pegs but my understanding is they were better on coon than fox. Made in Tappan ND in the 90s I believe.

I would set them in a piece of pipe put in a hole, set them right in the sheep, pipe at a 45 angle so the sheep did not step in them, I did catch coyotes and fox in mine. I have two of there somewhere in a box! I think the guy who made them first name was Dave?

I bought like two doz from him, probably in the eightys. Caught a few fox and coon in them. Never did catch a yote in one. Not my first choice in user traps!
