I know these are collectable but what are the ones from say 1912-1918 worth? Some of them are in very nice condition with bright colors and good bindings.
Also, has anyone ever heard of Fins, Feathers and Fur from the 20's and 30's? There is a pile of them as well.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Not sure of values but you got some interesting advertisements there.

In my younger days I won a subscription to Fins & Feathers and 5 bucks worth of tackle for the biggest musky of the year at Rapids Tackle. But they had dropped the "Fur" from the title by then.

Really? That is pretty neat. There are complete sets by year it looks like. Would your name or picture have been in there for your 4 pound hammer handle?

I don't collect magazines but I do collect Oneida Community trap ads. Oneida Community bought a 1/2 interest in H.T.T. magazine in 1905, so there were a lot of ads in them for quite a few years. Do the Fins Feathers & Fur magazines have Oneida Community trap ads in them? O.C. sold out there trap business to Animal Trap Comp. of America in Feb. 1925, so there are no O.C. ads after that, they are ATC ads. I have over 150 O.C. trap ads but I am always looking for ones I don't have.

Don't start selling those till you get some idea of what they are worth. I buy and sell a lot of antiques...except paper stuff...so I would not be a good price guide for those. Those might be worth some serious dollars, especially the complete years.

You may want to think about getting some of the comic book covers for these, if they fit. They are pretty cheap and protect them well.

Here are a few of them that I pulled out. I thought the comic book was cute. The one magazine is small, like pocket sized.

The small one you referred to is probably "The Trapper" magazine that was published by Hawbaker. Hawbaker published the magazine quarterly from the 1st quarter in 1954 until the last quarter in 1958. For some reason there were no magazines the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 1954, after that it was quarterly until the last issue. The two you show are unique because those issues also served as his catalog for 1954 and 1955. Some collectors did not realize that and have been looking for the catalogs for those two years.

So is there much for value there? This is just a sample of what is there and it all will be for sale.

Just to give you some idea...I do a lot of gun shows and at one of then a guy had some of the older Hunter, Trader, Trappers in worse shape than yours. He had them priced at around $15-16 each and he sold every one of them.

I'd suggest doing some checking in the "Sold" column on eBay or even Googling them. I'd say you're going to be surprised.
