It always amazed me how trappers did modifications to fit their needs. This trap has a neat Pivot link that can be opened and close. Trap also has two ROME'S on it.

Beautiful traps brother, remember I told you quite a while back that I've got a 3 story building in Minnesota with plenty of empty space for more traps when you run out of room or when Sandy says you're out of room.
On another note, most serious collectors believe that the ROME on some of the Newhouse traps was from the steel supplier that they got the steel for the traps. BUT! another theory to consider is, maybe THE ROME is actually named after the Oneida Community janitor who's first name was, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? EMOR!! Rome is EMOR spelled backwards, what do you think, could it be possible?

Rome NY is right down the road from Oneida NY and home to many manufacturing companies that used metal/steel/copper. Revere Copper was always in Rome NY when still open.

I live within 10 miles of Oneida NY but you guys have all the traps made there! LOL
