I think any foam gun will work. To cut down on issues take it inside during cold weather and buy your foam from vendors that turn over a lot of foam. It is important that the dates on the foam be current. Not saying you can't use it past the date but you will have more trouble with the gun using old foam. The foam cleaner won't touch cured foam in the gun but it will clean melted foam. I don't feel like writing it all over again but I made post a while back about using a blow torch to melt the foam in the gun then running foam or a cleaner thru it and it will unstop the gun. Most stop ups are cured foam in the barrel. I think Metro has the right idea about how to use it. Some people have misused foam giving it a bad name in some circles but it is useful product for many things. It was around before this industry stopping water and air leaks.

My foam gun was one of the best investments that I've made for my businesses. A very effective and time saving tool. Just can't believe that it took me 15 years to decide to buy one !
And that's the issue with foam, temporary fix...

And that's the issue with foam, temporary fix... I mainly use it to bat proof homes. Along with a little Xcluder and/or hardware cloth, it makes a pretty good crack sealant. I have used it with hardware cloth and sealed a few small raccoon entrances as well. Maybe I haven't used it long enough to have a reoccurring problem. Should be expecting problems?
