Thanks Ak907..they turned out pretty good.. the only way I was able to get any kings this year was incidental during our comercial chum fishing periods.been a tough year for kings for everyone around the state I hear...I hope you got enough.

Sure glad that you at least got some kings. This year I'm sure there was a bunch of folks that haven't really put fish away. You know, fishing wasn't all that bad at the beginning of the opening subsistence fishing periods until F&G restricted mesh size to chum nets. I don't have a chum drift net so chum fishing for me didn't happen this year. I did set my 35ft long chum net over night and all I can say was, Talk About Humpys! I did get four chums out of that 12hr opening but really not worth setting a net with millions of humpy swimming up the river. It was fun though as always fishing this year.

King fishing would of been good all season if they didnt restrict our nets..lol FnG was supposed to just let the first pulse of kings past but they ended up closing us down the whole season.

we can use 7.5'' now but the kings are gone.

there has been alot of humpys here as well, but they run close to the beach if you set out farther or by a sandbar you wont get a plugged net full of humpys.

we have a slug of real nice fall chums going by now with a few cohos mixed in so the fishing should be good up there in a few days I still need to put up some dry fish yet myself

good luck

I drew in unit 18. My dad lives in Kingman and has hunted it the last few years. He has shot a couple of small bucks but says there are some decent ones around. I'm bringing a Foxpro for the yotes. Not sure if the fur is any good that time of year but it will still be fun.
I was working on my boat last night and was just finishing up loading my oil change stuff in the back of the truck when I went to hop off the trailer tongue to the ground and my boot hung up on top. I hit the pavement wrist first followed in short order by my tailbone and then head. Took a minute to figure out if I could get up. Broke my wrist and bruised my tail but my head feels great...lol! Cut my typing down from two fingers to one for a while. laugh

Our orthopedic surgeon is out of town and I don't yet know if it will require surgery. Family doc say 6 weeks in a cast if no surgery. Long enough to get a skinny little noodle arm out of the deal.. I can still wiggle my trigger finger but can't turn a reel handle. May have to get an accessory molded into my hard cast when I get it next week!

Bum deal APP. The ones I have known with a similar injury usually end up with a small plate screwed into the wrist but healing is generally pretty quick. The head wound may be another story though smile.

I hunted way down in the south-eastern corner for coues a couple times, and after filling deer tags, we would shoot scaled and gamble's quail. Would limit out in an hour or two, with very generous limits. Then call coyotes, which seemed to be everywhere. This was the first rifle season, and the pelts weren't bad. I sure don't miss all that cactus, though!
