I hate to post this but this subject is fairly new to me when it comes to pricing for the attic restoration of a single level house. The attic measurements are 30' x 60'. The house is a single story brick house located in a medium income district. Approximate value around $85,000.The existing insulation (what's left of it) is going to be completely removed after all of the raccoon feces has been removed first.
I've read EVERY proper method of protocol I can find concerning the safety factors involve including ALL PPE and have had some smaller jobs I've done that didn't involve insurance companies paying for the service..
Apparently raccoon have run rampant through this attic for years and I just removed my 10th one the other day. I realize all the discarded matter needs treated as a biohazard waste and have made provisions for it.
My quote will include all clean up, sanitization and deodorization of the attic and its living quarters. I have a full sized atomizer but have only used it on skunk spraying jobs up to this point. I've been doing ADC work for several years but am somewhat of a rookie towards pricing this job and figuring up the length of time that will be involved. I am working with the client's insurance company and will be having an outside contractor supplying me a quote on the reinsulation as I won't be doing that portion of it. I don't want to overbid and have the insurance company seek other venues but this is going to be a time-consuming and unpleasant job and I also want to make it worth my time. What is typical for the insurance companies to pay for these jobs?
Just a ballpark figure and a few guidelines would greatly help. If you would rather PM or call me that is fine. 419-307-7825. I sincerely appreciate any tips or guidelines you guys can relay to me.
