I hear there mostly brown and I watched it on tv , billy just hangs a net then the next day takes some cans of home depot foam to the house and the job is done , mean time theres this sweet old lady sitting in a rocking chair with a foot of batcrap above her head thanking them for finally end the problem

just tell him yeah you can do that, then ask, but what keeps more bats from getting in. We may not want to hear it but bats are being killed every day. bats are being blocked in every day some where. people do not care or even know. I talk to roofers that know there are bats in the building and they just seal them in. Most roofers can do the seal job right so it doesn't matter but still it is being done. when good contractor puts in fascia and capping with drip edge he will seal in bats when is the most work like that being done when the babies are in the homes may June and July. people do not care. they just want the problem gone the cheapest and fastest way. Me I would just tell him you are going to have them again unless you do it the right way that simple.

Jonesie, the roofer and sider guys have been on my mind since I started doing this last year. I worked along side
some folks on a building that normally would have been chuck full of bats in the exterior and they were sealing things up
on some contracts they had while I was working on the attic and interior issues. We discussed bats and guano and other things
as they noticed me going into the attic with my respirator, tyvek etc.

They commented "glad I'm not in there with you" which made me think about how many boards they ripped off that caused guano and
all manner of crud to fly in their faces from years of being inside these wall voids.

Also made me realize as you said, most home construction repair can strand not only bats but various other wildlife inside as well.
It is a sad reality but reality none the less. Some good points made in the latter part of this thread. Solving his problem would be best
done through exclusion and the side benefit in this case would be conserving the bats.
