when i harvested my sulpher shelf/chicken of the woods mushrooms, i cut them off of the tree that they were on leaving the roots intact.

will there be more chickens there this year? will it regrow itself??

Next year yes
just make sure like you did and leave the roots

I have several that I pick every year and a lot of them grow within a week of the same time every year
Unless its really dry
