but there is almost no material there, im afraid itll just melt off when i weld it

bubble tipping gives me a headache lol, id rather bend the tips up a bit to alot even, breaking a few is worth it to me lol, but if ya gotta use a stick and ya aint real steady then use lower heat and hold a roll of no.9 wire in your free hand, touch it to the jaw and strike the arc, it will melt the wire to the tip, after a hal;f dozen ya get the knack of it, wear heavy gloves and stand on dry flooring lol.

Here's what happens if ya don't.If your a yote trapper.lol

Just tap the rod on the very end of the jaw tip.Don't hold it there,it will melt it off.A few taps should do it.
