Noticed this growing out among the Mullein and Butterfly Milkweeds. Plant and leaves alot like a Spiderwort. And seeds alot like Dandelions.

that is called salsify.......no market...but the roots are quite edible....i've never tried them , but i have heard the taste being like that of shellfish.


my understanding is that you prepare the roots the same as you would for potatoes.
