That couldn't be more than 30lbs at most. It was just to show how to make it. For actual trapping, I will use a heavy flat stone of 50-100lbs. Maybe more, depending on the strength of the sticks. Also guides on either side to prevent the animal from jumping out of the way before the rock hits.

if you use it this upcoming season, do you think it is going to be hard to find such sized rocks/ logs? I'm thinking of finding fallen trees and using those, but the strength of the sticks als come into play. If you read the book in my link on your post, you would see one side of the lof or rock weighted, this woukld probobly help if 50-100 pound strones could not be found.
