Yukonjeff, your pic makes me wanna Set Burbot Hooks. What do you Burbot fisherman use when you don't have live bait? Never tried it with out Black fish. Don't really wanna put out a Blackfish trap.

Most here catch them in nets (6") but we have done it with hooks also.
we have always used Blackfish for bait on hooks but I bet chunked up whitefish would work or chunks of eel if you have them.

Ok, so my first pair of bunny boots are here....time for a test drive. I'm looking for something to solve my "Deeds Foot".

The nice thing, they are built for my snowshoes. wink

Nice Kusko, i ordered my bunnies a size bigger so i can drop in the Toe Warmers when the temp drops to the minus 30's. Works for a long time and if they quit i can add more. Also keep some in my mitts when it get really cold out.

Where in the Anchorage/Wassila area can you order 14 gauge wire? Does Fort Green handle it? All that is available is tie wire 16 gauge.

This looks like it might be a way to get skunk without pizzing off the post office. Any one tried them.
This is 100% Pure Skunk Essence, the pure quill, NOT a tincture.

The bottle is triple dipped in wax. I am tired of getting stinky boxes in the post office.

So there I was, walking along the edge of a cut bank, minding my own business- when I hit a patch of ice. Both feet shot out from under me simultaneously and I did a header into the deep run several feet below. Complete submergence... hat floating down stream... phone no worky no more... wet. Luckily I caught up with my hat. It was a good day! laugh

pretty stoked, early xmas present, got asked to apprentice with a couple buddies I know who run a long line. Guys are pretty good at what they do, humbling to say the least.

Merry Christmas Gang!
