My favorite work boots are redwings, but I saw some guy wearing some mid-calf converse boots the other day and I want a pair. Looked real comfortable.

Whites and/or Schnee's. I love them.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Work boots: Whites with woods heels. Pull-ons: Double-H. I had a nice pair of Chips until a friend's Jack Russels got a holt of them. I am somewhat partial to Wolverine wedge soles. Cold weather: Soral Dominators. You fellers in Alaska probably know a better boot, but down here, it's the best we can get. Some of you are wondering why I need that much boot in South Georia. Well, I got both my feet frost bit when I was 12-13 years old, and the circulation has never been right in them. The Sorals are my sit-still, deer stand boots. More slip-ons: I have two nice pair of Justins, one is black elk skin, and the other is black buffalo. Truthfully, the elk is too soft to keep them from scuffing. I would like to find a pull-on with a 12" shotgun top, but we ain't got a lot to choose from down here, in this style of boot. Hip Boots: Survus Seafarers. Waugh! 45/70,

45/70....What does waugh! mean? Been wondering that for a while..lol I agree with 45/70 with the double-h boots. They are almost all i wear. I even have a nice pair that i wear when photo-ing a wedding. My wife bought me a pair of timberland slip-ons for christmas about three years ago and i finally put them on this past winter. They are very comfortable but i dont know how they will hold up. Double-H or waders for me..lol

I wear some Boggs when it is wet and cold They are great, Red wings most of the time around home and ranching. I have some Cabelas guide boots I wear elk hunting and they have been good boots 4years old and still in good shape, I am in the Mts 2-3 weeks each fall. I have had several pairs of Rockys and will never buy another pair!! ALL of mine squeak when walking in them and the insides always come out when I take them off,I wore out a pair of Danners, and they were GREAT boots!!

waugh, hard to say fer sure in reallife, books have promoted it as something mountain men said to each other or them selves, it kinda covers a variety of meanings, like catch 22, what the heck, go figure, who knows, cu later but who knows when, somethin along thayt line.

meindles...way tougher than danners/lacross/redwing but kind of overkill for flat land applications.

Rocky makes some great and tough boots for reasonable money. Danners are real nice, but I won't shell out that kind of cash for boots that wear out like the others anyway. Never wore em, but I hear many, many great things about Schnees boots too.

I wear bogs for hunting and farm work their similar to muck boots but cheaper and alittle less warm. which is good for all year use in my opinion. I have a pair of ariats for casual wear and wouldnt take nuttin for em, and when i aint wearin either of thoses i wear a pair of wolverin steel toes.

Baileys logging supply sells some boots made in Canada called red Dawgs with or with out steel toes. Everything is triple stitched I'v had redwings, Rocky,Danner,Wolverine. These seem to be the best I've had yet for all but cold winter work. They are also pretty cheap on chain saws and equipment. http://baileys-online.com/index.htm

Matterhorn. Similar to danners, a bit more expensive but well worth it. There Ranger duty boots are the most rugged and comfortable Ive ever had.

I wear white gum boots to work at the dock, and in the boat. Like the Royal brand with some gel soles. Doubt this is the recommendation you are seeking.
Out where I live its the only kind of boot anyone wears. Seen them in church even.
