You get hung up in traffic? First batch was out of the smoker yesterday.

This sow seemed like less than a sharing parent yesterday morning.

UB, how are the bears behaving this year? Big boars harassing the cubs and calves as much as last year?

Just talked to F&G and the tagging crew said what is left of our caribou and moose are at altitude in the snow fields and the bear are with them. We saw huge numbers of bear last fall and almost nothing this spring. Have just seen a few and our sockeye run is in full swing. Also the first year since we have lived here that we have not seen a single moose in the spring as they usually calve here. Maybe G&F is right and moose/caribou are still high and the growlers are with them. Of course maybe the cold wet spring has something to do with it. Can always blame it on global warming.

Managed to catch the reflection of our stairs in the right eye. Would like to say I planned it.

Have been photographing a pair of Sandhill cranes and there young one most of the summer as they have hung around our back yard and I never seen them fly off and leave the young one. Yesterday they flying around making a real racket and it didn't take much detective work to find out why the young one was missing.
