OK, I have to ask!! I am fairly new to the trapping world and cannot figure out how to dispatch, skin, flesh and stretch a skunk without throwing away whatever I was wearing..... so I was hoping you let me in on a secret....... I have been full on sprayed three times this year and my wife said if I got it again she would find me a new home...... and it would'nt be as warm as the doghouse!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let then air out for a few days if weather allows for it! When it is cool enough this works great! If not put them in a crick for a few hours. I have had great luck letting them freeze and then letting them thaw for several hours so the skin is soft but the inerds are quite frozen. This also allows the essence glands to be crystalized and they give off much less odor than if they were warm yet! I have been in your boat and chased out of the house before many times, i put up about 40 last year and this worked for me. I know some guys use a peroxide baking soda mix. I still like to have the essence glands partially frozen. smile
