Not at 12 degrees it didn't. BUT< I did find the problem. The ground had heaved the perimeter of the house just enough to creat a downhill slope toward the toilet. I put some heat under the building this morning and saw a leak begin dripping. So I went to plan B. Got under the house with a cordless sawzall and cut out the offending section. Dropped the downstream end an inch and jacked up the floor another 1/2". Should be good for another week or so now.

There was only a section about 16 inches long with ice in it.

Sure it wasn't that burrito fest you had last week that caused the pipe to sag at that point.... smile

Good deal White. Hopefully the fix will hold..

We had ours freeze a couple winters ago where it goes into the tank. It backed up into the drain standpipe for the clothes washer in the basement (luckily before we had the washer installed) and I got the suprize of a lifetime when I went to the basement to get something!!!

Good times for sure...hair drier, hot water, hot mop and 3 days later we were back in business so to speak.

Yep that sounds awful! Well if this will get us through the winter we'll be poopin' in tall cotton. I plan to raise the building a couple feet one of these years.

TJ: no burritos. I think it was the pecan log rolls.

Just got home from a trip to Wasilla. Helped a buddy move down there. On the way down a wolf crossed the road in front of me, couldn't get a shot. On the way home a lynx ran across, but it was dark and I couldn't stop. Cool to see them, it would have been nice to bag one.

I stopped and saw Wolfwoman at her store.

I thought that Alaskans did'nt like Apple Pie

Besides, Hupurest revoked my Alaska entry Visa. Something about not wanting anymore New Yorkers in Alaska. I guess that goes for New York food, too. laugh
