Don't need u-bolts. Just bend some number 9 wire. Coathanger works good, too.
Anything that will fit on the trigger. I'll be using Ol Roy Bark'n Bac'n doggy treats this year.

I just put a squirt of fish oil down the hole. I use to put a cotton ball under the trigger to hold the oil but i dont even bother with that anymore....shane

I just use marshmallows in the trap and some trailing scent around the trap. This eliminates all cats and you get fewer skunks and possums too I believe. In late winter I put some Blackie's Boars Delight next to the trap too.

yepper, coon grabbers don't leave a mess in your traps. When they get flooded, they still smell great when they dry out. Hard to beat.

I haven't seen them, but from what I've read and the pictures they look like they are flavored and scented plastic worm material. I thought that was an amazing idea. As far as making them yourself, as cheap as they are, it probably wouldn't be worth the effort to make them.

I have DP Trap users telling me they use "Dobbins" Coon Candy in my traps and it works real good, where there's pets around, I have used it in cages and yep it works. Yancy

I might have to try some this year. I never had trouble catching them in a Yancy with just scented mallows but they sound kinda cool.
