Patience is the tough part. Just think what it's going to feel like seeing that next weasel or mink in your trap. Makes it all worth the wait. LOL

Yep don't get any on your clothes or bring it in your house. Your parents won't like it. LOL

I use it for bobcat's and coyotes haven't used it in my weasel boxes. I use anise or a lure that is made specifically for weasels.

I remember earlier in the year I had a bobcat cubbie set. And I remembered approximately where I had it but the woods was looking all the same. And we just had a foot of snow dumped.

Then I started smelling a skunk and it lead me right to my cubbie. Yep it was gusto.

Powerful stuff. I am going to try the new stuff next year I think it was called skunk junk. Suppose to be better yet.

Skunk24 you might just have to try it. Then let us know how it works. I have never tried it.

swamphaunter I do believe your right next year will bring more people entering. I think quite a few new guys started trapping these weasels and most of them started after the contest was being pushed.

I believe the thread that 2poor and the others had going brought a lot of attention to weasel trapping sparking a lot of interest from new people. It's a fairly cheap and easy way of trapping for new guys. To bad these things weren't more available across the states so more people can get in on it.

I do believe especially right now they are the main critter people are after in Minnesota.

well i just got back from setting the boxes ill let you know how things went.
I saw some tracks that resembled rabbits with all four toes really close but the print was about only the size of a quarter and there are some tunnels. It is by some nice pine trees and some brush piles with quite a bit of hay looking weeds on the edge of a field at the edge of town. Are these weasel tracks or something else? The tunnels were in the brush piles. Are these weasel tracks and weasel tunnels. Or some other tracks and mouse tunnels?
Thanx

Another critter to your list this year.

I also had about a 30 pounder the other day. Really nice coat with some good color I might even keep it. Suprised you held it in a #1. Coons are pretty strong.

Weasels here have really slowed down. I seen some fresh tracks the other day so I threw a couple traps out but nothing yet. I'm thinking tomorrow one of those white ghosts will show up.
