Hello My name is chris, This trapping season i wanted to try something differnt than what i normally do.. I decided to try weasel trapping! Everything that i have read about weasel trapping was they are easy little animals to caught and they arent trap shy.

if anyone could give me a few pointers that would be amazing!!

Thanks, Chris

Have you read the 2008 weasel thread if not do it. Or go to archives and read 2006 weasel thread.

trapperMN where exactly are you from in central Minnesota?

Like Griz said there's a lot of weasel threads that are full of info. Most of our trappers that are very experienced in weasels are going to be at the trappers meeting this morning so they might not chime in.

Weasels are a fun animal for sure. I started with my 8 year old this year and there is something addictive about trapping them.

Maybe it's the fact there a lot easier to carry out of the woods than a big ol wet beaver.

Welcome to Tman Chris...don't feel bad, I can't catch em' either... I can get a dozen beaver in the time it takes to catch one little (supposed to be easy to catch animal) Good Luck!

I think skunkwrestler uses them a lot. He's probably at the trappers meeting today but pm him and he will get back to you. That was kind of why I was wondering where you were from so if you were close enough to somebody maybe it would be easier to show you.

Your a little south of most of us. I would read as many back threads as you can. And two guys in particular I would search out and read their experiences would be 2poor and skunkwrestler.

2poor is probably our most reckognized weasel hound on here and has great knowledge.

But don't count skunkwrestler's experience out he's a young man with a good head on his shoulders that love to chase weasels. He uses the milk jug set a lot.

There both I'm sure are at the trappers meeting today so you might not get them online until tomorrow.
