What sizes do I need for racoon, fox, coyote? And what type of wood do you prefer?

google,,,FurHarvesters.com,,,,all board sizes are there.I use white pine as clear as i can get it. I suppose basswood is the best. I wouldn't know ,,never tried one.My pine is free.

These are standards of Fur Harvesters Auction Inc.
Raccoon(on wood):48" board, at 2" from nose 3" wide, at 6" 5"wide, at 12" 6.5" wide, at 24" 7" wide, at 36" 7.25" wide, at 48" 7.5" wide
Fox(red): 60" board, at 2" from nose 2 5/8" wide, at 4" 3.5" wide, at 6" 4.25" wide, at 12" 5 1/8" wide, at 60" 5 1/4" wide
Coyote:72" board, at 2" from nose 3" wide, at 6" 5" wide, at 12" 6.75" wide, at 24" 8 3/8" wide, at 34" 9.25" wide, at 48" 10" wide, at 72" 11.25" wide
These are all regulation wooden board sizes. Basswood is a poplar wood type and it's what I use.

I prefer Western Red Cedar for pelt boards. Never hardens up like many other woods so are very push pin friendly. Also have a natural oil which helps for removing pelts.

Maybe I'm just too cheap... I use plywood to make my stretchers. (betting I'm gunna get some hassling about that)
